Camden County police recently seized more than five pounds of heroin from a residence in Pennsauken Township, NJ.
Authorities opened an investigation after becoming aware of possible drug distribution activity at a home located on the 5500 block of Wayne Avenue in Pennsauken, New Jersey. Several agencies worked together on the investigation, including the Pennsauken Township Police Department, the Maple Shade Police Department, the Merchantville Police Department, and the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Suburban Narcotics Unit.
The investigation concluded with a raid conducted by the Camden County Sheriff’s Department Entry Team and the Pennsauken Township Police Department. Both law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at the Wayne Avenue residence and allegedly discovered the large quantity of heroin.
It is believed that the seized heroin could have a street value of more than $250K.
In addition to seized the illegal drugs, police also arrested a 37-year-old man who lives at the Pennsauken NJ house. He has been charged with multiple drug offenses, including possession of heroin and possession with intent to distribute heroin.
