Police in Camden County NJ are investigating the fatal shooting of a man on a Camden street.
The shooting occurred around 6:35 p.m. on the 1200 block of North 18th Street in Camden, New Jersey. The Camden County Police Department received a ShotSpotter alert about gunshots being fired and immediately sent police officers to the area.
When Camden County cops got to the scene, they found the victim sitting in his motor vehicle and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Paramedics rushed the victim to nearby Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The shooting victim was later identified as a 33-year-old resident of Camden, NJ.
According to Camden County prosecutors, the investigation into the homicide is active and ongoing. However, detectives have not yet identified a suspect in the murder case.
This is the third confirmed homicide in Camden so far this year. The other murders, both fatal shootings, happened on 6th Street and 4th Street, respectively.
