Cherry Hill, NJ Man Arrested for Possession and Distribution of Marijuana

A Cherry Hill, NJ man, Matthew Kraus, has been arrested and charged with possession and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.

Kraus was arrested while allegedly in the middle of a drug sale after a month long investigation by the police during which undercover officers made several purchases from him. After the investigation, the police got a search warrant for Kraus’ home and vehicle and found two pounds of marijuana along with stacks of money, two pipes, and a scale. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

Distribution of two pounds of marijuana is a third degree crime in New Jersey while possession of more than 50 grams is a fourth degree crime. If found guilty, Kraus could face six and a half years in New Jersey State Prison along with fines of over $25,000.
