A man from Gibbsboro was robbed at knife point Tuesday night in Moorestown.
The man went to the Moorestown mall in response to an ad he found on craigslist offering an iphone for $275. When he met the suspect in the parking lot, the suspect allegedly demanded whatever money he had on him. When the victim refused, the suspect allegedly threatened him with a knife. The victim was unharmed and the suspect proceeded to run away. He has been described as a 5 foot 7 man wearing a black hat, black shirt, and tan shorts.
If the suspect is apprehended by police, he could be charged with armed robbery. In this case it would be a first degree crime, which carry the most severe penalties, since the suspect was armed with and threatened to use a deadly weapon. A person convicted of this crime could receive 10 to 20 years in New Jersey State Prison, 85 percent of which must be served before he would be eligible for parole.
