A couple of Gloucester Township police officers sustained injuries while attempting to stop a house party that had gotten out of control.
The incident occurred during the early morning hours. The Gloucester Township Police Department received a call about a violent altercation at a house on Hollywood Avenue in Gloucester Township, New Jersey. The residence is located in the Hilltop section of the township.
Once police officers arrived at the scene, they encountered several individuals who were allegedly being argumentative and acting aggressively toward the police officers.
Gloucester Township police attempted to arrest three suspects, but the suspects allegedly struggled with the officers. During the scuffle, one of the police officers reportedly sustained a hand injury; another officer reportedly suffered an injury to their leg.
Both injured officers were taken to a nearby hospital, where they received medical treatment.
The suspects include a 23-year-old male from Blackwood NJ, a 24-year-old male from Deptford NJ, and a 27-year-old female from Pennsauken NJ.
The suspects were charged with various crimes, including aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and obstruction of justice.
After being arrested, the suspects were taken to the Camden County Jail. They were each being held at the jail in lieu of separate $10,000 bail amounts.
