Camden County police officers arrested three men allegedly in possession of heroin and crack cocaine.
Two officers reported drug activity in the Bergen Square section of Camden, NJ. Specifically, the officers said that they observed a hand-to-hand drug sale involving the suspects.
After witnessing the transaction, officers placed the alleged buyer, a 60-year Camden resident, under arrest. Sometime after arresting the suspect, police allegedly discovered heroin on his person.
The officers also arrested the alleged sellers in the transaction: a 37-year-old Camden man and a 41-year-old Camden man.
According to authorities, police later found more than 200 containers of crack cocaine and more than 40 bags of heroin in a vehicle that was parked near the scene.
The suspected buyer in the case was charged with possession of heroin. He was issued a summons to appear in court at a later date and then released on his own recognizance.
Meanwhile, the two suspected sellers were charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute. Both men were taken to the Camden County Jail, where they were held on high bail amounts.
