Police in Camden County NJ are still trying to find two suspects in the fatal shooting of a college football player in August.
The shooting incident occurred around 12:00 p.m. on August 16, 2016. The victim, a Bensalem PA man, was walking on 28th Street near the intersection with Saunders Street in Camden NJ when someone approached him and used a handgun to fire multiple gunshots.
Emergency medical responders and police officers were called to the scene of the shooting, but the victim was pronounced dead a short time after being shot. The victim was just 26 years old when he died. It has been reported that he was a high school football star and a college football star.
Detectives with both the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and the Camden County Police Department conducted an investigation into the homicide and obtained video surveillance images that show two suspects in the area around the time of the shooting.
Now the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office is offering a $5K reward to anyone who comes forward with information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case. Members of the public with information on the homicide should call Camden County detectives at 856-225-8475 or 856-757-7420.
