A Lindenwold NJ man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Manchester, New Jersey.
According to law enforcement, the shooting occurred in the Summit Park section of Manchester, NJ on October 15.
The suspect, a 44-year-old male from Lindenwold, may have been involved in an incident in which several bullets were fired in the area of Nathan Avenue and Neal Place in Summit Park, NJ.
Thankfully, no one was injured as a result of the shooting.
Manchester NJ police officers were dispatched to the scene of the shooting after law enforcement received multiple calls about gunfire.
Once police officers arrived in the area, they reportedly found multiple shell casings strewn across the street.
Police noticed that a 2006 Mercedes-Benz K50 had bullet holes, so they obtained a search warrant to look inside the vehicle. When police searched the car’s trunk, they allegedly discovered a .22-caliber Ruger and a 9mm Ruger handgun.
Authorities later learned that one of the handguns had been reported stolen in Georgia.
It was determined that the suspect was the owner of the vehicle with the guns. He has been charged with several weapons offenses, including unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, certain persons not to have a weapon, unlawful possession of hollow-point bullets, and unlawful purchase of a firearm without proper documentation.
After being placed under arrest and processed, the suspect was taken to the Ocean County Jail. He was being held at the jail in lieu of $150,000 bail.
