A Lindenwold NJ man was recently indicted for allegedly sending child pornography to an undercover agent.
According to prosecutors, the 50-year-old suspect participated in an online chat with a special agent from ICE Homeland Security Investigations. The undercover agent was posing as the mother of an 11-year-old girl.
While chatting with the undercover cop, the suspect allegedly sent 75 videos and photographs of child pornography. The suspect was reportedly under the impression that the “mother” would then set up a webcam sex show of her 11-year-old daughter, with the daughter performing oral sex on her father.
Prosecutors allege that the suspect also sent more than 100 images and videos of child pornography to Skype Messenger users over a nine-month period. According to law enforcement, many of these images show young girls being sexually assaulted.
Authorities eventually located the suspect by using his IP address to track him down at his residence in Lindenwold, New Jersey.
The suspect faces charges for distribution of child pornography, possession of child pornography, attempted manufacturing of child pornography, and storing or maintaining child pornography using a file-sharing program. He has also been charged with attempted aggravated assault of a child under the age of 13.
If the suspect is convicted on the most serious sex crime charges, he could be sentenced to 5-10 years in prison.
