Medford Township NJ police recently arrested a local man accused of possessing child pornography.
The suspect is a 38-year-old resident of Medford, New Jersey. According to local law enforcement, the suspect photographed a teen girl in sexual poses.
Detectives with the Medford Township Police Department opened an investigation into the suspect after receiving a report that he made “inappropriate contact” with the teenage victim. During the investigation, Medford NJ detectives allegedly found photos of the girl and other images of child pornography.
The suspect has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child because he allegedly possessed sexualized images of a minor.
If the suspect is convicted of the very serious sex crime, he could potentially be sentenced to time behind bars in NJ State Prison. Additionally, the suspect would likely be subject to Megan’s Law upon his release from prison, meaning that he would have to register as a convicted sex offender.
After being placed under arrest and processed, the suspect was remanded to the Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly, New Jersey.
