A Camden man, Jonathan Cruz, has been arrested by U.S. Marshals on murder charges.
Authorities tracked Cruz, who has been wanted since May 24, from Camden up to Lawrence, Massachusetts where he was hiding out with family members after allegedly shooting another man on April 3 near Lincoln Ave in Camden. Investigators believe that the shooting occurred when Cruz confronted the other man after they had several previous disputes. The prosecutors are currently working to have Cruz brought back to New Jersey.
Murder is among the most serious crimes in the New Jersey criminal code. If convicted of murder in this case, Cruz could spend the rest of his life in a maximum security prison.
