Oaklyn NJ police made two arrests for weapons offenses after responding to a domestic disturbance.
Oaklyn police received a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence located on the 500 block of West Holly Avenue in Oaklyn, New Jersey. When police officers got to the scene, they spoke with a female.
The female told officers that two men had fled the house after an argument. One of the men was reportedly the female’s ex-boyfriend.
According to the witness, one of the men pointed a handgun at her at some point during the argument.
Police officers searched the area and quickly located the two suspects walking on West Clinton Avenue. One of the suspects is 18 years old; the other suspect is 15 years old. Police said that both suspects live in Collingswood, New Jersey.
The officers allegedly found two black BB guns on the suspects. According to police, the orange safety tips had been removed from the BB guns.
The suspects were both placed under arrest and charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. The suspects were also charged with terroristic threats.
The adult suspect was transported to Camden County Jail, where he was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail. The juvenile suspect was released from police custody to a parent.
