Pine Hill NJ police arrested three individuals who allegedly robbed a mother and daughter of prescription medication.
Police received a report of a robbery on West Branch Avenue. When officers arrived at the scene, in the 200 block of the avenue, the victim told them that she and her daughter were forced from a vehicle and physically assaulted. The victim identified a man and a woman as the attackers.
According to police, the two suspects robbed the victim of Oxycodone, a cell phone, and keys to the car. The suspects reportedly fled the scene in the vehicle.
Sometime after the robbery in Pine Hill, Cherry Hill NJ police received a report that the victim’s prescription medication had been illegally picked up by an unknown female. Police investigated the incident and identified a female suspect. The suspect was later arrested and charged with prescription fraud.
The two suspects in the earlier assault were also apprehended. They have been charged with robbery, as well as conspiracy.
As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:15-1, robbery can be classified as a second degree criminal offense. If the suspects in this case are convicted of second degree robbery, they could be sentenced to between five and 10 years in New Jersey State Prison.
After being arrested and charged, the suspects were taken to the Camden County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
