A Willingboro NJ man sustained catastrophic injuries and later died after being shot on a local street. Law enforcement is still trying to identify the shooter.
The shooting incident occurred shortly after 11:00 p.m. outside a residence located on the first block of Placid Lane in Willingboro Township, New Jersey.
After the shooting, someone dialed 911 and alerted local law enforcement. The Willingboro Township Police Department then dispatched police officers and emergency crews to the scene, where they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was then taken via ambulance to a local medical facility, where he underwent emergency surgery. He was later listed in critical condition. However, the victim’s condition soon took a turn for the worse and he died as a result of his injuries. He was just 22 years old when he died.
Meanwhile, Willingboro detectives investigated the shooting and canvassed the area in search of the culprit.
If police can eventually determine the identity of the shooter, that person would likely face criminal charges for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. In fact, depending on the circumstances surrounding the shooting, it’s possible that the culprit could face criminal charges for attempted murder.
