Police in Camden NJ arrested two men who allegedly had a large quantity of heroin in their possession.
Multiple residents called police to complain about possible drug activity. When police responded to the calls and arrived in the area near Sicklerville Road and Orr Road, they reportedly saw one of the suspects circling a convenience store parking lot while driving a silver Acura. The suspect allegedly stopped the vehicle and parked directly behind a white Honda occupied by the other suspect.
Officers then reportedly observed the men conduct what appeared to be a drug transaction.
The suspects, who hail from Camden and Monroe Township, respectively, were both placed under arrest and charged with various drug offenses.
Police allegedly seized 41 bags of heroin from the two suspects.
The man suspected of purchasing heroin in the exchange witnessed by police reportedly had four bags of heroin in his vehicle. He has been charged with heroin possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sometime after being charged and processed, he was released from custody with a pending court date.
The man suspected of selling heroin allegedly had 37 bags of heroin on his person and in his vehicle. He has been charged with heroin distribution and possession of a CDS in a motor vehicle. After being charged, he was taken to the Camden County Jail.
