A Woodbury NJ woman was recently arrested near Newark Liberty International Airport and charged with numerous drug crimes.
The suspect is a 27-year-old resident of Woodbury, New Jersey. According to law enforcement, the suspect was a passenger in a motor vehicle being driven outside the Newark Airport around 6:00 p.m. Port Authority cops noticed that the vehicle, a blue Mercury Villager, had a cracked front windshield. The Port Authority police officers subsequently stopped the vehicle in front of Terminal A.
While talking to the driver of the vehicle, a 30-year-old man from Westville, NJ, police officers reportedly smelled marijuana coming from the car.
A subsequent search of the passenger, the Westbury NJ woman, allegedly turned up 63 ecstasy pills and 14 plastic containers of marijuana.
Additionally, a police computer check on the driver allegedly turned up outstanding arrest warrants in Camden, Haddon Township, and Mickleton.
Both the driver and the passenger was placed under arrest at the scene. The Woodbury NJ suspect has been charged with possession of marijuana and illegal possession of prescription drugs.
Meanwhile, the Westville suspect has been charged with driving with a suspended license and bail jumping.
