Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole a credit card in Gloucester Township NJ and then used it at a Target store in Deptford, New Jersey.
According to authorities, the suspect entered the Target located at 1900 Deptford Center Road in Deptford Township, NJ.
Video surveillance footage from the store reportedly shows the suspect using several credit cards to purchase merchandise.
This was not the first time the suspect allegedly used the stolen bank cards to make fraudulent purchases. According to police, the suspect has used the credit cards at stores and gas stations throughout New Jersey and Philadelphia. The suspect has reportedly run up a tab totaling more than $2,500.
The credit cards were reportedly taken from a vehicle parked at the Timber Creek Dog Park on Chews Landing Road in Gloucester Township, NJ. Sometime after the theft, the victim reported the missing cards to local police.
The Gloucester Township Police Department is actively investigating the alleged theft and subsequent fraud.
Police recently released a description of the suspect. The suspect is reportedly a black male with short hair. Additionally, the video surveillance footage from the Target store shows the suspect wearing a charcoal grey V-neck sweater, as well as a leather jacket.
If police are eventually able to identify and locate the suspect, he could face serious criminal charges for theft of movable property, credit card theft, and credit card fraud.
