Gloucester Township NJ police are looking for a man accused of using stolen credit cards throughout South Jersey.
According to law enforcement, the suspect committed his crimes at a number of businesses and banks. The criminal offenses were committed across New Jersey, including Gloucester Township, Deptford Township, and Stratford. Some of the Gloucester businesses were located in the community of Blackwood.
The crime spree allegedly occurred over a period of two weeks.
The first incident reportedly went down at a bank in Stratford. The suspect allegedly entered the bank and tried to illegally access the victim’s checking account. According to bank employees, the suspect used a fake driver’s license from Pennsylvania.
When bank workers suspected that something was amiss, they notified local law enforcement. However, the suspect allegedly left the bank and fled the scene prior to the arrival of police.
The next incident allegedly occurred in Deptford Township. The suspect reportedly used the victim’s bank account to secure two credit cards. Video surveillance footage captured the suspect in the process of committing the fraud.
Sometime later, the suspect allegedly went to a Wawa convenience store in Gloucester Township and withdrew cash from an in-store ATM machine. Police were able to obtain video surveillance footage showing the suspect driving away in a 2005 GMC Envoy.
The suspect’s later fraud reportedly included making unauthorized credit card purchases at the Gloucester Premium Outlets, which are located in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township.
Police believe that the total monetary loss stemming from the crime spree is approximately $2,800.
If the suspect is eventually apprehended, he could face criminal charges for credit card fraud, forgery, and theft.
