Police in Brooklawn NJ arrested a Westville New Jersey man accused of possessing a large quantity of drugs in his motor vehicle.
The arrest was made around 1:15 p.m. in Brooklawn, NJ. The suspect was reportedly behind the wheel of a Hyundai Santa Fe and traveling in Brooklawn when a patrol cop saw him commit a traffic violation. The police officer pulled over the suspect’s vehicle and ran a check on the suspect’s license.
The police officer subsequently learned that the suspect was wanted on multiple active arrest warrants.
The suspect was then detained while other police officers conducted a search of his car. The search reportedly turned up 289 bags of heroin and a small jar filled with marijuana.
The suspect, a 24-year-old man from Westville NJ, was arrested and charged with numerous drug crimes, including distribution of heroin, possession of heroin, and simple possession of marijuana.
After being placed under arrest and processed, the suspect was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility in Camden, New Jersey. He was being held at the jail in lieu of a $51K bail amount.
