Oaklyn NJ Police Bust Two People Accused of Prostitution, Solicitation near Little League Baseball Field

Oaklyn NJ Prostitution and Solicitation ArrestsOaklyn New Jersey police recently arrested a man and a woman accused of engaging in lewd behavior near a Little League baseball field.

According to the Oaklyn Police Department, two off-duty police officers were coaching a Little League baseball game near the Oaklyn Public Schools campus when they saw the suspects engaged in activity that appeared to be suspicious.

The baseball fields are located just behind the school campus. According to authorities, the baseball fields were crowded at the time of the incident. The incident occurred sometime around 6:30 p.m.

When one of the off-duty officers walked toward the suspects, the male suspect allegedly fled the scene and drove away in a motor vehicle. Meanwhile, the police officer detained the female suspect.

The other officer notified on-duty police officers of the alleged incident. A short time later, they arrived at the baseball field.

The 24-year-old female suspect, who lives in Oaklyn NJ, was placed under arrest at the scene. She has been charged with prostitution and lewdness. She also faces charges for disorderly conduct and trespassing.

Police later identified the male suspect as a 56-year-old man from Mantua Township, New Jersey. According to authorities, he surrendered to Oaklyn NJ police a day after the alleged lewd incident.

The male suspect has been charged with soliciting prostitution and lewdness, as well as disorderly conduct and trespassing.

After being placed under arrest and processed, the female suspect was transported to the Camden County Jail. She was being held at the correctional facility in lieu of $5,000 bail. The male suspect was released from police custody on his own recognizance. He has a pending court appearance in Oaklyn Municipal Court.
