Police in Pine Hill NJ recently arrested a man accused of possessing a number of illegal weapons and drugs at a local residence.
According to authorities, Pine Hill police officers executed a search warrant at a home located on the 100 block of East Branch Avenue in Pine Hill, New Jersey. Once officers were inside the home, they reportedly smelled “the strong odor of raw marijuana.”
A search of the premises allegedly turned up several weapons, including a .50 caliber muzzle-load rifle and a crossbow.
Police officers who searched the residence also allegedly discovered eight marijuana plants, as well as marijuana growing equipment, pot packaging materials, and pot distribution materials.
The 33-year-old suspect was placed under arrest and charged with a number of crimes, including distribution of marijuana, possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
The suspect was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child because police allegedly found a child inside the home at the time of the arrest.
Shortly after being arrested and charged, the suspect was taken to the Camden County Correctional Facility. His bail amount was set at $88,500.
Meanwhile, the child found at the residence was handed over to the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency.
