Police in Gloucester Township NJ are searching for suspects accused of committing burglaries at a local business.
The burglaries occurred at the warehouse for Cold Technology, which is located on Lower Landing Road in Gloucester Township, New Jersey.
The first burglary happened in June. The suspects allegedly broke into the building by sliding through an air conditioning unit. However, the suspects reportedly set off the alarm system and quickly fled the scene.
Although the break-in was captured by surveillance cameras at the warehouse, the suspects used their shirts to cover their faces.
The second burglary reportedly occurred two days after the first theft attempt. This time, a man and a woman allegedly broke into the building by accessing the air conditioning unit.
Once again, the building’s alarm system was triggered, prompting the suspects to panic and run away.
According to officials, the lights in the building were turned off at the time of the second burglary. As a result, the surveillance cameras did not capture usable footage of the suspects.
Authorities recently released descriptions of the suspects from the first burglary with the hope that the public might be able to offer assistance. One suspect is described as a teenage white man with a thin build and dark hair. He reportedly carried a backpack during the burglary attempt. The second suspect is described as a teenage black man with a thin build and short hair.
If any of the suspects are eventually identified and apprehended, they would face significant penalties. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:18-2, burglary is typically classified as a third degree felony. A conviction on third degree burglary charges could lead to a sentence of 3-5 years in NJ State Prison.
Members of the public who have information about the identities of the burglary suspects are asked to contact Gloucester Township investigators at 856-228-4500.
