Clementon NJ police have warned local residents to take steps to secure their homes in the wake of a number of recent burglaries in the borough.
According to law enforcement, the same person has unlawfully entered numerous Clementon NJ homes and stolen cash, jewelry, electronics, and other items. The suspect allegedly targets residences located near the woods and commits the burglaries in the afternoon.
In multiple incidents, the suspect reportedly used pepper spray to attack the residents so that they would be unable to stop him from taking their personal possessions.
Clementon NJ detectives are investigating the burglaries, but they have not yet been able to determine the identity of the suspect. The suspect reportedly wore latex gloves while committing the theft crimes, so he did not leave fingerprints at any of the burglarized houses.
Police recently released a description of the burglary suspect. He has been described as a white male with a thin build. Anyone who has information about the suspect or the recent burglaries in the borough should contact Clementon NJ police.
Meanwhile, the Clementon Police Department is asking residents to make sure that they lock all of the doors and windows in their homes, in addition to activating alarm systems when leaving their residences. The suspect in the recent string of burglaries reportedly gained entry to the residences by accessing unlocked doors and windows.
