Police in Gloucester Township NJ arrested a Camden New Jersey man who allegedly had an unregistered handgun in his car. Additionally, the suspect allegedly possessed illegal drugs in his car as well.
Police officers reportedly found the gun and the drugs after pulling over the suspect on Blackwood-Clementon Road in Gloucester Township, New Jersey. Patrol officers stopped the suspect after reportedly seeing him commit a traffic violation.
When police officers searched the vehicle, they allegedly discovered a .38-caliber Ruger LCR handgun that was loaded with ammunition.
Gloucester Township cops also allegedly found packs of heroin and cocaine inside the motor vehicle.
Moreover, police officers ran a check on the suspect and reportedly learned that he had a number of outstanding arrest warrants in other NJ towns.
Police subsequently placed the suspect under arrest. Police officers also arrested a 19-year-old passenger in the car because he reportedly had an outstanding warrant as well.
The suspect is a 28-year-old man who lives in Camden, NJ. He has been charged with several criminal offenses, including illegal handgun possession, possession of heroin, and possession of cocaine.
After being arrested and processed, the suspect was remanded to the Camden County Jail. He was being held at the correctional facility in lieu of a $150K bail amount.
