Gloucester Township NJ police arrested a Laurel Springs woman who allegedly committed six home burglaries.
According to officials, the thefts occurred during the first two months of 2015.
The 23-year-old suspect, who lives on the 400 block of Glen Avenue in Laurel Springs NJ, is accused of traveling through Gloucester Township neighborhoods and pretending to offer snow shoveling services. The suspect was reportedly assisted by other individuals in the crimes.
When the suspect knocked on a door and no one answered, she and the other suspects would then allegedly break in and commit the thefts.
The Gloucester Township Police Department investigated and eventually identified the suspect as one of the culprits in the burglaries.
The suspect was arrested and charged with three counts of burglary, two counts of theft of movable property, two counts of criminal mischief, and two counts of possession of burglary tools.
After being arrested, the suspect was transported to the Camden County Jail. She is being held at the facility in lieu of $70,000 bail.
Police indicated that all of the alleged thefts remain under investigation because additional suspects have been identified.
