Two men were arrested after allegedly trying to burglarize a home in Pine Hill, New Jersey.
A 28-year-old Collings Lakes man and a 30-year-old Hammonton man were reportedly in the process of burglarizing a residence when they were approached by Pine Hill detectives. According to police, the suspects then fled the scene, nearly hitting the detectives as they drove off in a vehicle.
The suspects were eventually apprehended in Voorhees Township. Detectives and officers from Monroe Township, Mullica Township, Magnolia, and Somerdale worked together to capture the suspects.
The suspects allegedly had stolen property in their vehicle at the time of the arrest.
Police believe that the suspects may have committed other burglaries in at least 10 towns throughout New Jersey, including towns in Gloucester County, Camden County, Burlington County, and Atlantic County. As a result, the suspects have been charged with 12 counts of burglary, theft of movable property, and conspiracy.
One of the suspects has also been charged with aggravated assault for allegedly trying to hit the Pine Hill detectives with his motor vehicle while fleeing.
After being arrested and charged, the suspects were taken to the Salem County Correctional Facility and held in lieu of bail.
